Every person on the planet is facing a crisis of extreme proportions. The extent of the social, economic, political and environmental impact of COVID-19 is yet unknown, but we are starting to realise that it will be devastating to one and all.

The poor, the elderly, the disabled and the immune compromised people are going to be hardest hit. People living in high-density communities, such as the inner cities, townships and informal settlements, will face the additional burden of proximity to one another and the lack of resources to sustain themselves.

Business across the spectrum, will face extreme challenges, such as workforce, decline in sales, travel restrictions, supply chain, operations and regulation compliance.

In these times, it is human nature to pause and reflect on the deeper issues, to come together and show compassion to the vulnerable and to the business community. A number of organisations have thus decided to work together to make resources available to anyone who is in need of such tools and information.

We hope the power of the collective will continue beyond this current crisis and we will find other opportunities to collaborate on towards a better future for all.
